Player Information |
|
Small tight running midfielder who has the ability to keep the best quiet and get his own ball, McGinnity was touted as a potentially quite a high draft pick, but eventually slipped to the Eagles in the 07 Pre-Season draft.
His career was a stop-start affair, without really regularly breaking into the team. McGinnity was used as depth, a hard nut who could provide a guaranteed effort when needed, but unfortunately that effort didn't quite match with class meaning he was always on the fringes of the team.
At the end of the 2016 season, after nine years on the list, McGinnity retired from AFL football with 93 games to his name.
