Player Information |
|
The Eagles' fourth and final pick in the 2007 draft, Scott Selwood joined his elder brother Adam at the Eagles. Rated second in ability of the four Selwood brothers (behind Geelong's Joel), Scott Selwood developed early in his career, initially as a defensive midfielder in the vein of his elder brother.
By 2011, Selwood was being let off the leash more, providing a dangerous run with option who could also stop opposition play makers. His form indeed improved to the level where he won the Club Champion award in 2012, and would certainly be a player who could have higher honours on his head later in his career.
Selwood continued to fill a role as a senior player, eventually being promoted to vice-captain for 2015, however after injuries cruelled his season he was left on the emergencies bench for the Preliminary and Grand Finals, and after much speculation he elected to move to Geelong to play with his older brother Joel. |
