 Player Information
A tall defensive player taken late in the 2006 draft from Victoria, Schofield surprised many when he managed to force his way into the West Coast team for a few games towards the end of 2007 and through 2008, performing quite acceptably for an inexperienced defender.

Schofield probably first came to the attention of most Eagles fans when, with the team down by over 120 points, he still dived on the boot of an opposition forward to prevent a Geelong goal - the only bright moment of the night. It typified Schofield, enthusiastic and always giving his full effort. He became a core part of the West Coast rise up the ladder in 2011, though at times struggled a little with form in following seasons. A player that you will always know is giving 100% on the field, Schofield also backs his own abilities - sometimes to his detriment, but on a number of occasions he's run long distances to kick great running goals.

A popular player, Schofield was often in and out of the side, but was called on when fellow defender Brad Sheppard went down in in the 2018 Qualifying Final. Seizing an unexpected chance, Schoey was one of the Eagles best in a brilliant defensive effort in the 2018 Grand Final
