Player Information |
|
After being in the wilderness early in his time at the Eagles (he was even rumoured to have nearly walked out at the end of 2003), Ash Hansen eventually squeezed his way into the team late in the 2004 season, and immediately set about making himself a vital cog in the team.
The position of Hansen in the team is an interesting one; certainly the club has a much better record when Hansen is in the team, but injuries have made his appearances rarer than anyone would like; he's missed substantial parts of every season through injury, and at times has played with injuries which seem to severely reduce his performance.
His value inside the club seems to be high, with a long term contract and a position in the club's leadership group, but it remains to be seen whether or not Hansen can remain fit and in form long enough in any given season to have the impact he can have when up and firing. |
