Player Information |
|
Travis Gaspar is a talented key position player, usually playing at center half forward. However he is probably one of the AFL's unluckiest players as he has had an exceptional number of injuries keeping him from playing regularly.
Gaspar's ruined every season in his career, not allowing him to develop his potential and produce on the field. His injury concerns were always a worry for the club hierarchy as if fit and match ready he could be the answer for one of the problems the club has down the spine.
Gaspar managed to fight his way back into the team in 2005 with reasonable form, eventually being a huge surprise selection for the Preliminary Final, a spot he retained in the Grand Final. The hope that Gaspar might eventually come good was finally quashed in 2006 when he couldn't get fit enough to even challenge for the senior team, the run of injuries finally costing him his spot on the main list. |
