Player Information |
|
Daniel Chick was a hard as nails midfielder/defender recruited from Hawthorn in the 2002 draft period after several attempts to lure him back to Perth. Chick was tenacious and hard at the ball and during his time with the club he was one of the hardest players on the Eagles list.
After playing through injury in his first two years at the club, Chick finally managed to play every match in 2005, and mostly injury free. The result was that Eagles fans got to see why it was the Eagles traded a first round pick for the former Hawk; his tenacity and hard work was of the first order. In 2006 Chick settled in to a regular spot in the team, culminating in being part of the Eagles 2006 premiership team. Chick was still a regular in the team in 2007, however declining form and rumours off poor off-field behaviour saw the veteran delisted from the club at the end of the season after 103 games with the Eagles.
In 2015, Chick made himself no friends at all (except maybe at Hawthorn) when he "opened up" about drug use at the Eagles in 2006 to the Herald Scum newspaper two days out from the Eagles Grand Final appearance. |
