Player Information |

A fast midfielder recruited from Collingwood at the end of the 2001 season, Adkins was for the most part a receiving midfielder, a role that was hard to break into at the Eagles during his time with the club.
After finishing the 2004 season in pretty good form and seemingly getting back a regular spot in the side, Adkins took a large backward step in the 2005 season. Surprisingly not in the side at the start of the season, Adkins forced his way into the side through reasonable form a couple of times, but never lasted long in the side before being sent back to the WAFL.
Adkins was a surprise selection in the squad of 25 for the 2005 Grand Final, something which indicated he was still in the thoughts of the selectors, but a horrible broken leg early in the 2006 season while playing for Perth in the WAFL finished his season, and with no likely return to full fitness he was delisted at the end of the season, after which he returned to Melbourne to play in the VFL. |
