Are we getting a new Board for the Womens League?

Which team will you follow?
For me I'll be following the Adelaide team as one of their Marquee players in Kellie Gibson was one of the Auskick kids I coached all those years ago. She certainly taught some of the boys how hard it was to tackle a girl who knew how to stiff arm them.

Yes I agree there should be a new board.
In fact, I feel it deserves its own forum, with all related discussion moved there, and therefore a permanent ban on related posts here.

I will continue to follow the Eagles, Royals, and Wildcats.
Hopefully by the time the Eagles get a team in the wimins' league, I will be dead.

Wow.

I'm almost tempted to say the misogyny is strong in this one

Lighten up.

Believe it or not, I do other stuff besides watch footy, and i have no particular interest in watching wimin's AFL.
Unlike some, I don't feel obligated to be interested in something just because they slap an AFL badge on it.

For those that are interested, good on em, enjoy.

Deliberately misspelling "women" suggests quite a disparaging view.

Of women?
No, no it doesn't.
I do however have a somewhat disparaging few of some of the antics of the AFL, including the AWFL. But as I said, for those who want to follow it, good luck to them.
If I want to watch more footy, I'll go to more WAFL games, and get there early and watch the Ressies or even Colts.
If I want to watch more female sport, I'll go to more Lynx games, or tune in to the Netball (Which I actually enjoy, presumably a by-product of all those Saturday mornings at Kingsway Reserve.)

My understanding is there is likely to be other teams admitted in following years.

An associate of mine's daughter played for the Bullies in those early WB v Melb games. She's injured now, but good enough for me to get on the Dogs. Albeit signing with GWS prior to the injury.

The fact that the senior mens side blew my mind this year helps.

And... the women's game a few months ago was brilliant, highly entertaining.

Good job AFL

You didn't explain how it doesn't.
It's like calling the eagles egirls. Juvenile and not even funny but gets the message across that you dislike the eagles.
I have no interest in any women's sport even though I'm a woman. I just think it's not as robust, interesting or exciting as men's sport.
But I don't make fun of it by calling it Wimin's sport.

I thought Katie Brennan was great in that game. The fact they are keeping the 16 on ground rules is good. There is much less congestion in the stoppages. Woman can't kick as far but the quality of the game was good. They didn't shirk the contest and the free flowing game was better than some men's games.

I'll be going for the 'sons of the west' too. But I wonder if they will change the song
