Valé / RIP / In Memorium of those you have lost

Postby Crazy Dazz on Sat Sep 17, 2011 4:27 pm

Eagles lost another Fan today...

Valé Greg Rogers
Best Brother-in-law a guy could have. Always ready to help, with a smile.
Taken too young, but walking with Jesus now.
Finding it hard to believe that he’s gone.
My Thoughts & Prayers are for his boys at this terrible time.

Good idea for a thread.
Sometimes it helps to get thoughts to paper, so to speak.

And condolences for your loss.

It was so hard watching the game on Saturday, knowing how much he would have loved it.
Greg was one of those who NEVER lost faith. Even during the dark ages when I was screaming for Judge’s sacking, he always maintained that we were just developing our youth and would come good again.

Today the world lost one of its best. And I lost my best bud.
My dog Louie died we think sometime this morn.

I'll miss him. And I'll never forget him. I'll always love him.

Such a fucking empty afternoon.

My auntie and godmother died at the ripe old age of 98 earlier this year. She lived by the adage that if you can't say something good about someone, say nothing. She was a champion lawn bowler and an exceptional baker of cakes, which she shared with all and sundry.

Mum slipped away today.
My brother and I were with her. She forced her eyes open, looked at me, then she looked him.
Then she closed her eyes tightly, and when they opened again, she was gone.

Still numb, only just starting to sink in. I have spoken to some of the rellies, and caught myself thinking “I must tell mum that I have spoken to …”

I feel cut adrift, like the family wheel has lost its hub.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Our Mothers bring us into this world and nurture us into the people we become. That bond is incredibly deep. I lost my Mum over 3 years ago and still think about her every day. My sincere and deepest sympathies to you, your family and those closest to your Mum. My thoughts are with you.

Sorry to hear of your loss Dazz. Mums are pretty special people and on their passing a real empty feeling exists for some time. There's always many special moments that were can look back on and take comfort from. All the best.
