Congrats to the Tigers, stood up on the big stage, no DNA failure there.

I thought I’d be going for the Crows but found myself cheering for Richmond throughout the game, go figure.

I’m proper jealous they’ll be in Puma next year and we won’t.

Terrible gf and a terrible finals series

Only one good game won by the only team to win an away final ..us. :D

So only one flag won by an interstate side in 10 years

Is there a problem afl ???

I thought it was a great GF.

AGREE that the finals series as a whole was a let down compared to the quality of the H&A season.

Adelaide reminded me of us in 2015.

Was a pretty disappointing final series. Only one game was a true final, the rest were blowouts.

I was thinking the same thing...except we were never in it half way through the 1st quarter.

Here's an interesting set of facts:
- five GFs in a row won by Melbourne sides over non Vic opponents.
- four of those by MCG tenants.
Last two times a non Vic team beast a Vic team in a GF: 2012 Sydney over Hawthorn and 2003 Brisbane over the Pies. The two COLA clubs.

The debate about home ground advantages is sure to come up soon, buuuuut nothing can be done about it as AFL and MCC have a contract that GF's be played at the MCG until 2020 something. 5 years before it expires it will get renewed for another 10 years, despite Perth/Adelaide/Sydney (ANZ) all have stadiums capable of hosting a GF.

Also lets not forget that Geelong had to give up there home advantage to play the tiges at the MCG

This is why our supposed great game will never truly be great.....its a biased competition ..life is not fair

So what happens....the crows after losing will request more MCG games...the VAFL will probably give them an extra game....and guess what the other interstate teams get ripped off...the shockers and us keep going to tasmania and playing less games at the MCG.....The pies dees tiges keep playing games at the MCG

The cycle continues . If we somehow managed to finish top 2 win both finals and then get to go the MCG....we will have less supporters there and we will of only played maybe one or two games at the MCG over a 2 year period

All these factors means we have no chance of winning a flag against a Vic side......our best chance and only chance is hoping that another interstate team makes it as well....as proven in 05/06 where it was an even contest and some of the best GFS ever....not this shite we are seeing now
The will to win....maybe its coming back ??

It's these things called money and bias.

Of course, any Vic club will have WAY more supporters since only 17,000 tickets are allocated to the team's members.

AFL Members, MCC Members, Corporates, other clubs and club packages get everything else.

Wonder what the ratio of Tigers to Crows supporters was? It was Adelaide's "home game".

The AFL makes sure Vics are always benefited. If they don't finish on top, the Vics then bitch and complain followed by changes to benefit them again.

Same with everything. The WA clubs get taxed for having too much money to support the Vic teams. Look how we were formed. It wasn't because they wanted a national comp it was because they were running out of money and didn't want to cut or merge clubs. We get formed and hit with a hefty bill. We, of course, did get some awesome concessions to get going that bit them in the ass. So they have never given those concessions to any new club afterwards.

It even happens outside the AFL. Just look at the GST, they have admitted it isn't fair, but then stated they are not giving up their part.

It's the supposedly "equality" world we live in.

The AFL should allocate high draft picks to interstate clubs to make up for other disadvantages. (Apart from GWS and GC who have been given too many already.)

Yep. Turned it off 10 mins into the third quarter when the umpires ignored yet another jumper pull to an Adelaide player. Went and found something more interesting to do.
Very disappointing finals series other than our win against Port.

Can't believe how many people I know who, after complaining about Victorian bias all year, were barracking for Richmond over a non-Victorian team.
