Saw Freo as well! Weathering The Storm

The question being asked now is; How far can sledging go before it goes too far? Tim Watson mentioned that players should develop their own Code of Conduct addressing the issue. On the face of it, it makes sense. Sledging isn't accepted these days as it was in the past. Viewers/supporters have greater access to on field comments (including cricket) and the media is all over it and drawing attention to it. I think that, although blokes are more likely to be okay with it, women generally don't like it. If sports want to attract women into the audience, the issues probably need to be addressed. Code of Conduct makes sense provided there is an agreed outcome if it is breached. Make the switch now
Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......It's a common sledge in AFL, has been for years, if a you marry a woman who has slept with few ex players, it's going to happen, it's just human. The beat up to this is absurd. Let's move on.
Do or do not!
There is no try.
Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......
Didn't Kyrios sledge another tennis player telling him that another player 'banged' his girlfriend? Make the switch now
Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......
Not sure, did Kyrios end up winning that game? Do or do not!
There is no try.
Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......
yep but sledging in tennis isn't the norm.
Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......So Tim Watson thinks there should be a players code of conduct. Funny that Jab Watson is back playing and he wants sledging eliminated or toned down...
As for the Murphy stuff. I agree with Dalby.
Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......Definitely can't hurt anyone's feelings these days. My generation has raised a generation of snowflakes.
Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......Pav got reamed for sledging a suburb FFS.
Not in my day!!
Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......I'm never one to go into bat for the snowflake generation. Far too much attention is paid to these prissy little bitches and their fragile feelings. As Alex Jones put it: Your feelings don't have rights. Milo Yiannopoulos was even more eloquent: Fuck your feelings!
That said, I'm not sure this is a line that should be crossed. Marc Murphy is a squealing little toad - I agree. Direct as much as you like to him, but I reckon family ought to be left out. PS: Pavlich's slagging off of Midland wasn't offensive by any standard. More a statement of fact really. I got a fever.
And the only prescription, Is MORE COWBELL!
Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......You are all arseholes with small weaners.
Just because. However strong or fast or skilled a knight is there are others who can match him. A man will win one tournament and fall quickly in the next. A slick spot on the grass may mean defeat, or what you had for supper the last night. A change in the wind may mean victory.

Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......There you have it folks - proof that the gene pool was never chlorinated.
Too - just because. I got a fever.

Re: Let the Season and Sledging begin......My little wog mate's finally getting married. I told his new Mrs I'm glad she took pity, its been sad watching him all these years fumbling about like a blind man. Like watching a fisherman with no bait.
