Going to a game interstate? Ticketing, how you're getting there etc.

There are tickets available up the back (restricted viewing.... which im guessing is the scaffold beams on the roof on the staduim which restricts your view.)

Didnt know whether to give them a go if,although restricted still not overally bad or whether to get standing room tickets (does anyone know where the standing room section is too?)

The dome is great for viewing football. I don;t think there is any blindspots at all to be honest. Up the back in the 3rd tier is pretty high but not as high as the MCG or i'm guessing even Subiaco for that matter. Even if you buy tickets for up there if you don't mind standing you can just stand on the first level and see most of the game from there anyway without having to go all the way up. But if you are with family i'd take the seats. Obviously it comes down to how much you actually want to see the game and also how much they want to charge you for them, i'm tipping as it is basically a sell out and has now been announced that it will be live on TV in Melbourne (which NEVER happens), they will be charging a fair bit. I wouldn't pay more than $25 for an adult (They are usually $19 general admission for those seats).

Was in 3rd tier row X which is the back row for the Geelong Vs Essendon game ....... the ticket said restricted viewing and it was restricted you saw about 85% of oval ..missing a small strip down the side ( i think it might have been the side of the TV screen the blocked the view)

I'm going! Can't wait.

I really need some recommendations for restaurants and bars - I want to get a bit reckless this weekend. Pity there's no good gigs in Melbourne this week.

Also going to the Saints/Geelong game. Should be a great weekend.

Just buy general admission for about 10 bucks at the gate and sit anywhere you want (except for member areas). It's not like Subi :)

I am also heading over for the WCE - Melb match and also the Saints- Cats game. Have Standing Room tickets for the latter, so rang and asked the ticketing agency about them yesterday. They said it's an area behind the seats on the first tier and advised getting there early to claim a spot.
