Adelaide, South Australia
AAMI Stadium - Games played here in 2009
Round 16 vs Port – Sunday July 19 12:40pm
Round 21 vs Adelaide – Saturday August 22 2:40pm

Ticketmaster or Ph: 1300 136 122
AAMI Stadium Seating Plan: Tickets usually on sale the Wednesday two weeks before the game.
Getting to the ground
AAMI Stadium is a fair distance from the city centre. There is no rail station close to the ground. Bus would be the best option to get to the ground.

Mecure Hotel Grosvenor
OK hotel but the room are a bit old. Bar is great and the restaurant has great food. Located right across the road from the casino. Been a few years since I was there and I am not sure if they have updated the rooms. I would look elsewhere.

Barossa Valley Tours
Something you can do while in Adelaide is take a Barossa Valley tour. There are two ways to do it. You can take an organised tour from one of the many companies that offer them. The organised tours will go to the wineries they get kickbacks from, so you will not be going to the leading wineries (ie Penfolds & Jacobs Creek) but you will go to the lesser known wineries. These tours cost from $50 to $100 if they include lunch.
The other way is to hire a car and do it yourself. One person will have to miss out on the tastings but you will get to go to the wineries you want to.

Yup Tiger will be having cheap flights regularly from Perth to Adelaide from march onwards IIRC......Will be about 50 each way when on special or about 75 for normal flight prices.

Im considering going over for the Port game on the 19th July - As its 2 days after my birthday and i have a mate moving to Adelaide for Uni next month so i can stay at his and go over a few days earlier and have my birthday in Adelaide

If its wine you are after I would highly recommend Clare Valley over the Barossa. Taylor's is sensational as is Kilikanoon. In fact Kilikanoon won the trophy for the best Riesling in the world at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. It won for its 2006 Mort's Block Riesling.

Beautiful place, South Clare football administrations are all cockheads though, avoid that place like the plague.
