Getting to the ground
Subiaco Oval is 5 km from the centre of Perth. The easiest way to get to the ground is by rail. Take the Fremantle line to either the West Leederville station (close to gate 8) or the Subiaco station.
There are plenty of good places to eat in Subiaco so if you want to get there early for lunch or stay after the game for dinner.

Nope.

I usually go to 1 or 2 away games a year. Just thought it would be easier for some to learn share information on their trips east.

One method of making sure you gets seats if you're travelling from outside of Perth (WA) is to book a package through Travel and Sports. They sell land packages, hotel accomodation plus tickets to the game with or without flights. That's assuming they still get some seats to sell next year. Check out there web site in the new year to check.

http://www.travelandsports.com.au/afl.html

I would think AFL Travel would also do packages.

Otherwise you're in the mix with the General Public which is getting increasingly difficult. Living in Melbourne I try and get to a Ticketmaster Outlet just before tickets go on sale and grab a ticket straight up.

Tickets go on sale 9:00 WST (11:00 EST) on the Monday the week before (ie normally the Monday after the previous Home game)
For Example - Rd 11 v Sydney (Saturday June 7) will go on sale Monday May 26th

Really not that hard. Just get on the net or the phone or a ticketmaster outlet at 9am or whenever two weeks before the game when the tickets come out and you'll more likely than not get them. Hasn't failed me yet.

You will struggle to get tickets to the popular games like Fremantle, Essendon and Sydney. Teams with low support in Perth like Brisbane & Port or unsuccessful teams like Richmond will be easy to get tickets to.
