Bugger. I wasn't keeping an eye on this forum. Went onto ticketmaster last night to see when tickets for the Anzac day would be going on sale. Got a big surprise when the only seats I could get (3 together) were in Q12....thats level 4 up the back  . Damn. We'll get there on game day to see if there are any vacant seats and try to make a friendly (or hostile  ) takeover but I don't like our luck. Anyway the real big game is the next night at the TD :D .

All booked! 4 of us girls are doing the footy trip to the Eagles vs Collingwood game. Got an EXCELLENT package thru Virgin including airfares, 2 nights accomodation and breakfasts for under $400 a piece. Happy girls are we!

there seems to be loads of us going so will there be some sort of social meet up pregame/post game boys and girls?
Cute.... but somewhat evil

There is actually an official function organised after the Collingwood Game, so I don't think there will be the normal post-match function at the MCG.

Melbourne cocktail party: $130
Saturday, May 31, 2008
"Champions" at Federation Square
After the round 10 clash with Collingwood, from 6.30pm to 10.30pm

This function includes food and beverages, player interviews, exclusive auction items, door prizes and fabulous entertainment. Please click here for booking form.

Well I got back from Melbourne last night. Eventually. The plane left half an hour late and then had to stop in Adelaide to refuel. So instead of being in Perth by 11. It was more like 2am. Felt sorry for all those people waiting to get on the plane to go to Melbourne.

The Anzac Day clash was unreal. How so many people can be so quiet continues to baffle me. Would have been nice if the Bombers put up a fight though. Was an enjoyable day to share with my boy and I would do it all over again to watch Essendon lose.

The Bulldogs clash. Well I knew as soon as they had sold out of McKinley badges that it was going to be a rough night :D The Eagles contingent was pretty big so that was good to see. I really was not expecting a win but overall it was a good weekend. Sucks to be home.

This is a fantastic deal folks. They are advertising this on the radio for $1900 so it is almost half price.

Carlton play Collingwood at the G on the Sunday which will be a cracker game to go to.

If you have ever thought about going over this is the deal to take.
