the other two omissions were obvious choices.

Exactly my thoughts.

Neither did much but Karpany needs the run of games more.

2017 sponsor of #30 - Jackson (he's too good to be only 21) Nelson. 21yo, pick #51 in 2014, a bonus pickup.

Looks like McGovern is going to be staying back. I'd hope that frees up Yeo to go win some contested ball in the middle. Nelson can be small sweeper in the back and Duggan is doing well in rebounding. We need a couple of percent as well as the 4 points.

I have a dinner on Saturday night, friends birthday so it clashes with the game.

A year or two ago i would have first checked when the eagles were playing and i would have said "thanks but i cant make it - Eagles are playing".

I think this game will be similar to the brisbane one, a game where we are expected to win. The game wont be too exciting and a bit meh.

TP does. He'll be barracking for them - anyway seriously, I think Kruezer will be difficult to stop. Liam Jones has found a permanent spot and will make it difficult for JK. Murphy and Gibbs will need minding.

We will win because Carlton's forward line and scoring capability have been very ordinary and we will get plenty of rebound 50s from turnovers.

Why not want to see the result that best helps the team in the future. Still remember the crap I copped for wanting us to lose so we got Chris Judd.... whilst half the board were badly wanting to get meaningless end of season wins rather than pick 3 in the draft. Ask them in 2006 if they'd wished we won 7 games instead of 5 in 2001 in return for not getting Chris Judd. Some can see the bigger picture I guess.

Having said that if we lose to Carlton we are even in more dung that I thought we are in.

If this was a Round 12 at Ethiad, then yeh then we would be a good chance to lose.

Unlikely to happen at home, however if it did then the team and coach are cooked and I'd expect the night of the long knives at Eagles HQ.

We've just about been worse home than away this year!

We should win but I fully expect Carlton will be within 3 goals at 3 quarter time and we will have won because they didn't take their opportunities to beat us. We'll get smashed in the midfield again... and then I'll go on the West Coast Eagles Facebook page and see lots of "Yay Eagles!!! Well done boys! That's how we do it" and I'll just sigh and die a little more inside.

 Couldn't have summed it up more perfectly.

I'm surprised Carlton are paying $5.75. While it will be wet, we are unlikely to see much rain. If it does come down during the game, they could be a sneaky chance.

You would expect us to cut them up at periods, but they play a solid defensive game and the wet conditions will play right into this and most likely put more pressure on our midfield group.

Could be a tough night for forwards, which will even up the game somewhat too.

All eyes will be on Priddis. Let's all try and enjoy him being out there rather than focusing on the things he is not doing like he was a couple of years ago. We're not going to see much more of him.

Eagles by 17pts.

Sore leg apparently.

Going to play Wellingham forward and rotate through the midfield?

Actually like the swap....going to be wet reckon Wellingham will be better suited than Lecca

I hope wellingham has a good game another playing for his career...reckon he still has a lot more to give for the eagles

Is there any power on earth capable of convincing the coaching staff that Yeo should be in our midfield?
