C'mon. You would have been sooking during the first six weeks. Like many on these boards, you would have given up on them, labelled then the worst team of the century, demanded all their players be dropped and called for the sacking of Longmire. They come good and, all of a sudden they're the greatest. FMD you guys are seriously soft.

Feel free to dissappear off these boards us softies wont miss ya.

Fuck this.

I've had enough of all this crap slinging mud at each other.

Our midfield is getting slaughted on the inside. We are relying on our halfbacks.

Duggan is playing brilliantly.

Have to agree and thought he could have won the Glenndining but in the end Hurny was a worthy recipient. Did anybody else feel it was a "Meh" sort of game? I know we won and all but i kept thinking that it was very lacklustre and it was Freo losing it more than we were winning it. Anyway...good win and not negative and on to the next four winnable? games. Looking forward to the Collingwood encounter at Etihad.

Well it wasnt pretty but we got the 4 points.

We got slaughtered in the middle and got smashed in clearances, so the same problems with our midfield havent just magically dissappeared.

Our efficiency converting scoring opportunities, our seriously solid defence / intercept marking and the quality of the opposition won that game for us.

Next week will be very very interesting

Scrappy game. On paper we shouldn't have won it but Freo kicked themselves out of it. It had me laughing the more they kicked.

Hurn finally stood up as a captain. Duggan is working very well off the half back line. Redden had a good game. Welcome back Kennedy!

Masten, well no comment needed. He was better but still Priddis and Mitchell in the same team doesn't work we lose defensively.

Yeo should come back in for Masten who just keeps giving Simpson and the match committee a reason not to pick him. Duggan is an example of a kid who has been given ago and now we are seeing the benefits. Great breakout game.

I actually agree with most of the previous batch of comments.

Hurn - best game in a long time.
Duggan - if not his best game then close to it.
Redden - was pretty good but the threesome of Mitchell/Priddis/Redden is one too many. Priddis currently the one who should miss.
JK - really changes things for us. Good to have him back.
The Muppetts - they were awful. It wasn't just the kicking at goal, they were the same all over the ground. If they had hit their targets under little pressure we would have been killed.
Our midfield - this game was no fix. Won despite the clearance differential and overall impact.
Masten - watched him closely today to try to find some positives. He really does run all day but for a guy of his experience, his positional sense is just useless. Add to that his poor disposal and you really have to wonder is he worth anything at all to the team.

Scrappy game. Always good to beat the muppetts but other than the Duggan break out effort, I don't think there were any huge positives to take from the game.

P.S. And in light of recent events on here I am happy for anyone to disagree with the last statement if you can argue your case in a reasoned and logical manner. If all you want to do is abuse me and my opinion then you can just...
2017 sponsor of #5 - Brad (Mr Reliable) Sheppard. 25yo, 100+ games and counting.
2017 sponsor of #6 - Elliot (how good could he be) Yeo. Only 23 and looking to hit 100 career games in 2017.
2017 sponsor of #23 - Lewis (we need this excitement) Jetta. 27yo and heading for 150 career games.
2017 sponsor of #30 - Jackson (he's too good to be only 21) Nelson. 21yo, pick #51 in 2014, a bonus pickup.

I reckon you and every other WC supporter were watching and he played like he knew we were watching. I felt a little sorry for him actually and noticed he hung his head a few times and his confidence is shot. AFL is a tough gig and it must be difficult for a player to realise he is done, but that is the game and he won't be playing next year.
