Round 17: WESTERN DERBY

Postby domo_the_eagle on Tue Jul 11, 2017 9:28 am

After last weeks fade out, the team will be looking for atonement.

Out: Priddis, Petrie or Vardy, Emac
In: Redden, Kennedy, Nelson

We just cannot have Petrie, Vardy & Lycett in the same team. Petries a better forward than Vardy, but Vardy is a better 2nd ruck than Petrie.

Hahaha! You funny! Seriously though, has he had his leg amputated yet?

I actually think we might see Partington this week. Now hear me out here... He has been racking up the touches all year and his last outing included a 4 goal haul, that will have been 3 weeks ago come the weekend, surely he would have lost all that form and confidence which makes him a perfect candidate to be selected to make his debut in a derby!

We're all going a tad loco - due to everyone here being on the same page in regards to the where the clubs heading, but the clubs reluctance to acknowledge it.

The mail out of the club is that Kennedy is tracking really well in recovering from the repetitive strain injury caused by ticking large numbers of boxes and repeatedly putting his name on the coaches magnetic board of available players.

If he pulls up okay from his Wednesday night book launch of his debut novel "Truly Madly Deeply Available: The Josh Kennedy Story", he is virtually a certain starter.

We shouldn't laugh about the possible inclusion of Masten, it's more than likely to occur since this coach and match committee don't appear to want to refresh and reinvigorate this list. We keep going back to the same old players that just don't cut it. Good WAFL players and below average AFL players. Loosing faith in Simpson really very quickly. I'd like to sees change at the top if things continue as is.

Oops I click on the Western Derby link and keep getting redirected to the joke page...

How about; Simo will be able to pick exactly the team he wants to play this week? Or all players picked will be 100% fit.

i heard hamling will be out.

We can expose freo's lack of defensive talls....we could have a 6 man tall forward line

Giles - Darling - McInnes
Vardy - Kennedy - Petrie

Imagine that, with so much marking prowess the ball will never hit the deck, thus no need for small forwards.

Piss off! Schwayne and I came up with this idea years and years ago on this board!

I am seriously dreading Thursday and the announcement of the team this week.

Darling makes this forward line dangerously undersized. However Dean Cox is good mates with someone on the selection panel (Dean Cox). So maybe we can rookie list him and rush him into the senior side in keeping with our youth policy?

For the record I think we will most likely beat freo convincingly.

Darlings omitted because hes actually showing a glimmer of ownership and form. We cant have this at west coast.
