Is it worth re-rookie listing Petrie for another year & recruiting a long term (not injury prone) ruckman?

Petrie has absolutely given 100% but he has struggled in the ruck and as the season has worn on has struggled more and more to put in meaningful time late in quarters and games.
We got the season we could have hoped for but let's be real. In 2018 we would be better playing McInnes and doing what you suggest and recruiting or rookieing a young ruck.

I've mentioned on another thread that we need to draft a ruckman this year. Preferably a 19-21 year old that can be developed long term.

Agree with Woolie and Fat side. Recruit a young ruckman and develop him. We should hopefully have Vardy, Naitanui and Lycett at full fitness next year so that is our starters well and truly sorted. Yes all three are injury prone, but having someone like Petrie on the list to cover those 3 going down isn't really going to help us anyways as we have seen this year.

Unless he pulls the pin, we still have Giles next year.

Butlers 2017 (and most likely career) is now over after being sent in for shoulder surgery.

There was talk over the weekend that Butler would be retiring this week.

Is this confirmed? As I thought the cutoff was round 18 for LTI's?

Tunbride apparently did his hammy. That's his career done and dusted.
